Festival season has just begun! Hands up for Coachella! You never know what to expect or what to see during this festival as it usually gets pretty unbelievable. Experiencing FOMO? (Fear of Missing Out) Here is everything you need to be in with the most outspoken beauty looks of the season!
Sparkle it up! Glitter can be used to brighten your hair or face. How does the hairdo work? It can be put in a tie-up or let loose. Apply the glitter on the hairline until it is fully covered and your hair feels stiff. To give it a more spirited look, add some glitter on a larger area of the head. Sonia Ben Ammar is able to rock the look with her two high ponytails, pink highlights and rose gold glitter on the hair roots.
Tip: Use a glitter that contrasts with the colour of the hair. For instance, blonde with silver. Brunette or black works with both silver and gold.
In terms of makeup, glitter can be placed on any part of the face. For instance, it can be placed on the cheekbone and aside, below or around the eye area. A great example is Lacey Claire Rogers’ look, starting with glitter below the eyes going down towards the cheekbones. The only problem is to try to keep it in place for the rest of the night.
Tip: Use a setting spray to maintain the glitter and make it stay all in place throughout the day.

Rock the Hair
By working really hard to get a hairdo that’s on fleek, it is possible for the complete look not to require almost any makeup. This can be accomplished by using a great quantity of colour or a studied hairstyle.
The whole rainbow spectrum of colours has been seen at Coachella. It has arguably been the hottest topic! Many celebrities have taken on this one. For instance, Kylie Jenner has followed the trend with her bright, lime yellow and purple hair, and Ariel Winter with her never-ending, hot pink locks.
Braids are found in various styles: one, two or multiple and both high rise and low in one or more colours. As it can get hard to decide on just one, the rainbow style is another good option.
The most popular braids have by far been Chanel Iman’s – with her pastel pink, blue, purple and bleached ends. Another look that is just as good is Josephine Skriver’s - light pink and turquoise combined braids.
The eyes are always a key target when applying makeup. Therefore, in these occasions they can be decorated with jewellery, stickers, glitter, colourful makeup or metallic paper tattoos. These can be applied in a line, star or circle around the eyes. If this is done properly, there is no need to apply anything else except for the setting powder to assure yourself that it stays in place until the end of the night. For example, Alessandra Ambrosio applied tiny star stickers to the side of her face and on to the cheek bone to obtain a slight glow.
On the other hand, if this excessive decoration is too much of a fuss, colourful lipsticks can be used. Never had the occasion to wear a light blue lipstick? Well, a festival is perfect for bold looking lips. Any colour is appropriate: from lime green to sunshine yellow. The only important thing to consider is that it should be striking. For instance, Rihanna looked stunning with her violet lipstick combined with a minimalistic makeup.
So, as these looks are only worn on unique situations, festivals are the best time to do so. The clock is ticking. It is time to purchase your next festival ticket! Ultra Croatia, Tomorrowland, Primavera Sound… What next?
