There are certain things that epitomize fall, such as the changing foliage and the revival of the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. We have listed some fun things that everyone should try out in order to enjoy the dull days of fall.
Embrace the fall attire by unpacking the items in your closet that embodies the typical fall weather, such as plaid and flannel. Start adding these as part of your outfit rotation. In addition to the items you already have, there are so many other exquisite pieces to consider adding to achieve the perfect fall wardrobe. These items include a nice wool scarf, knee-high boots in leather or suede and a cosy yet stylish wrap coat. When shopping for these items, look for them in alluring colors such as maroon, mustard, taupe and olive.
Get a sense of fall without having to brave through the cold weather by lighting some scented candles. Look for scents that are warming, such as candles with nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla. The Diptyque "Cognac" Amber candle and Nest Pumpkin Chai Classic candle are both wonderful options for this season.
There's no better way to spend a relaxing autumn weekend than to read a book while enjoying a warm cup of tea. By no means am I an expert on books, but I can however recommend some delicious spiced teas. Cinnamon and apple teas or the classic chai tea are ideal for this season, and if you're a true cinnamon lover, you can simply add a cinnamon stick to your favorite type of fall tea.
Don't like scented candles? Another way to get your home smelling like fall is to bake or cook comfort foods that remind you of the season. Comfort foods will not only warm your stomach, but will also warm your home. Fall is probably the greatest time to try out new recipes or perfecting your favorite one, so we suggest you to take this time to bake that apple pie you've always wanted to make or that sweet potato casserole you've been dying to try. You won’t regret it.
